Brett, was a fisherman, but this is just a small part of who Brett was.
A significant part nun the less.
He loved being out on his boat (Rubie) fishing.
And the Rubie misses her captain!
Missing the CaptainBrett Cowger is the beloved captain of his boat Rubie! And now the captain seat sits empty & lonely! :(
We all miss her captain, our coach, our friend, father & husband!
We all have a an empty seat in our lives now. But, just like a well used seat can begin to show some wear & tear.
We all have so many well used marks, some wear & tear, some beautiful memories of how Brett influenced our lives!
I am very glad for the influence Brett had on my life!
I am very glad for how God blessed me with such a friend!
I am very glad for the years Brett had & the part I had in those years!
I am also thankful for the friendship I have with his boys & the impact I can still have in their lives!
I will love them & cherish their friendship!
I will be apart of their lives & make many more amazing memories!
I pray that God would give me the wisdom & courage to be more than just a friend, but a brother & that God's grace would shine through me to them!
Brett's memorial was great & I am so glad I had the chance to be apart of it. However, I am also glad to have had the chance to have a different kind of memorial the day before!
May you rest in peace Brett Austin Cowger!
